I want mine now, but owner Sam Kopicko doesn't expect to open shop at 52 Broadway until early February March 6 (update as of 3.6.09: Kopicko has done the deed!),

Thus am I commencing to release 1 month-long scream for, in Kopicko's words, "all homemade ice cream, with traditional flavors (vanilla, chocolate, Oreo, etc.) as well as lots of ethnic & interesting flavors (baklava, horchata, kaffir lime, adzuki...). We'll also be making fresh fruit sorbets; homemade vegan ice cream, paletas/popsicles; ice cream sandwiches, cakes & pies; & fresh sodas (homemade syrups mixed with soda water)."
Baklava ice cream sounds so good I want to rip my own head off to make extra room just for it. So rest assured progress reports are forthcoming; keep your peepers right here as well as here on the shop's own blog & Flickr set for progress reports.

Todd says he'd eat horchata ice cream. Don't know about baklava...sounds too crunchy.

It is a greek cookie that my yia yia used to make. Very good at least until she got real old and started to forget ingredients.
